Climate Modelling: Simulating the Fiscal and Distributional Impacts of India’s Energy Transition
CSEP hosted a roundtable discussion on Climate Modelling: Simulating the Fiscal and Distributional Impacts of India’s Energy Transition on Feb 27, 2024. The discussion focused on modelling the impact of fiscal transition and CBAM in India. The first session delved into the socio-economic effects of fiscal transition on the Indian economy using the Environmentally extended Social Accounting Matrix (ESAM) model. The second session focused on developing the structure of CGE model for India to examine the effects of CBAM. Panelists from leading think tanks and research institutions in India shared their key insights.
