Sahil Gandhi

Non-Resident Fellow

    Sahil Gandhi is an urban and real estate economist. He is a lecturer at The University of Manchester’s School of Environment, Education and Development. He was an Assistant Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and a visiting fellow at Brookings Institution (India Center). He was a postdoctoral scholar at the Sol Price School of Public Policy, University of Southern California.

    His research is in the field of urban economics, real estate and land economics. His recent papers are on vacant housing in India, migration and tenure choice, housing supply in Mumbai etc. His research is published in the Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Regional Science, Cities, Environment and Urbanisation, among others.
