Daljit Singh is a Visiting Scholar at CSEP, and has more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector in India and USA.  He has extensive experience in reforms and regulation of the Indian power sector, covering almost all aspects of the sector from a public interest perspective, including: national policy; electricity markets; structure of the sector; open access; and energy efficiency.  He has also done work on the coal and gas sectors.  In addition, he has in-depth experience of regulation of electric utilities in the US. As staff of the regulatory commission in Massachusetts, he played a key role in several cases related to electricity restructuring in the state. Earlier, he worked for Tellus Institute intervening in regulatory proceedings on behalf of consumer and environmental advocates.
