Amitesh Sirvaiya is a Research Associate in the Energy Natural Resources and Sustainability vertical. He works on issues related to the power sector and specialises in policy research and advocacy within the energy and technology sectors.

He holds a master’s degree in public policy from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and has a B.Tech degree in electrical engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. He has worked extensively in the areas of energy transition and power sector reforms, with a particular focus on distribution companies, open access, and demand side management. He has also engaged in the regulation of emerging technologies, digital public infrastructure, democratic decentralization, and social accountability, bringing a comprehensive and scholarly approach to addressing contemporary policy challenges
