Ashwini Chitnis is an Energy Sector specialist with over 12 years’ experience as an intervenor in the electricity sector policy formulation and regulatory processes at state and national levels. She has also worked on building the capacity of civil society actors and other stakeholders to enable them to better engage with the electricity sector policy and regulatory processes. She has served as a guest faculty for the Masters program in Regulatory Policy and Governance at the Tata Institute of Social Science. She is also associated with the Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment (LIFE) as a Senior Advisor.

She has contributed to various power sector regulatory processes and publications.
