Karthik Nachiappan is Research Fellow with Institute of South Asian Studies, National University of Singapore and (Non-Resident) Senior Fellow, Macdonald Laurier Institute, Ottawa.

His research focuses on India’s geo-economics, and the effect of trade, technology, climate change, and global health on Indian foreign policy.  His research also investigates the influence of India’s position on the above issues and how that affects regional dynamics in the Indo-Pacific.
