2016
04:00 PM to 05:30 PM (IST)

What do members of the Indian public think about their leaders and their country’s place in the world? As part of its Global Attitudes Project, the Pew Research Center released a major survey of Indian public opinion. The findings include attitudes towards:

– Prime Minister Modi’s approval rating, his handling of issues, and his leadership style
– Public perceptions of other Indian leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal
– Views on India’s place in the world, its involvement with the global economy, and military spending
– Attitudes towards China

To reveal the results of the survey and analyse some of its findings, Brookings India organised a public discussion on September 20, featuring Bruce Stokes of the Pew Research Center.
