The Centre for Social and Economic Progress (CSEP) is seeking a motivated and hardworking postgraduate in Economics, with a strong specialisation in international trade and industry studies, from a leading institution.

Key Responsibilities
- Support data collection and analysis using the trade and industry team’s curated import protection datasets
- Develop familiarity with key trade and industry databases (such as ASI and CMIE Prowess) and map data across product classifications
- Contribute to research outputs, including working papers, discussion papers, blogs, and op-eds
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across government, industry, and think tanks
- Assist in institutional activities at CSEP, including seminars, workshops, and brown bags
Qualifications and Skills
- A keen interest in policy research
- Postgraduate degree in Economics
- Familiarity with applied econometrics and an aptitude to learn, use and critically assess AI tools for research, data analysis and visualisation, are essential
- Exposure to industry databases such as the Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) will be an advantage
