The internship programme at the Centre for Social & Economic Progress (CSEP) provides an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds to engage with our researchers, get first-hand insights into the process of policymaking, and a chance to learn new skills.

Besides working with our staff in our research areas – Growth, Finance & Development; Foreign Policy and Security; and Energy, Resources and Sustainability, students will also have the opportunity to intern in departments such as Communications; Human Development; Finance; Development and Fundraising; and Events to understand and contribute in meaningful ways to the workings of a public policy think tank.

Interns will have the opportunity to attend orientation sessions, internal meetings, local think tank events, research workshops, and public CSEP events as well as form networks with other young aspiring policymakers. Our scholars and staff work closely with interns, providing mentorship and guidance. CSEP values its interns highly and takes a keen interest in allowing them the space to pursue their existing interests and explore new ones.

Internships are offered during the summer and winter semesters. We do, however, also consider exceptionally good applicants throughout the year. Internships are usually 6-8 weeks and located in New Delhi.
