Valbha Shakya is a Project Advisor in the Growth, Finance, Health & Human Development vertical. She has over 10 years of experience spanning teaching, economic research, and policy advocacy. She holds an MPhil in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, a Master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Prior to rejoining CSEP, she served as Deputy Director at the Confederation of Indian Industry, where she led initiatives on women’s economic participation. Her research spans a range of issues including Indian labour laws and its impact on hiring decisions, rural infrastructure and workforce participation, climate finance, and economic empowerment of women.
