Mridusmita Bordoloi

Policy Advisor

    Dr Mridusmita Bordoloi is a Policy Advisor at CSEP in the Growth, Finance, Health and Human Development vertical. She has over 20 years of experience in socio-economic research and public policy, with a focus on education, labour market and gender. She was previously employed as an Economist at IWWAGE (Institute for What Works to Advance Gender Equality), an initiative of LEAD at IFMR, where she led research at the intersection of labour market and gender, with an emphasis on women’s economic empowerment. Prior to this, she was an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), where her work focused around governance processes and public finances related to implementation of government policies and programmes, primarily in India’s education and child protection sectors.

    Her work has covered diverse themes, including consolidation of public schools by states, usage of open school data to ensure accountability in public education, regulatory mechanisms for non-State actors in education, India’s labour market issues, care economy, and challenges & enablers related to women’s economic participation.
