Dr Krishna D. Rao, PhD, is Visiting Senior Fellow at CSEP.

He is a health economist with research interests in health systems, human resources for health, health care financing, primary health care, quality of care assessment, and economic evaluation. He is currently Professor in the Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins University. He has worked in India, Afghanistan, Tanzania, Bangladesh, and countries in Latin America. Dr Rao has published extensively on health systems in international journals. He has a PhD from the Department of International Health at Johns Hopkins University, an MSc in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Cornell University, and a BA in Economics from Saint John’s University.
