Dhriti Bhattacherjee

Research Analyst

    Dhriti Bhattacherjee is a Research Analyst in the Foreign Policy and Security Studies team at CSEP. She is an early-career professional with a background and developing specialisation in international relations, political economy, public administration and global governance. Previously, she has worked as a research analyst in the International Cooperation team at CEEW. Her work there primarily focused on global governance of energy and resources, tracking the geopolitics of energy security and transition, sustainable finance, and global perspectives on issues such as climate-fiscal crisis, circular economy, sustainable and inclusive development and multilateralism.

    She holds a Master’s in International Relations with a Political Economy specialisation from the University of Sydney, where she was awarded the Sydney Scholars India Scholarship, and an undergraduate degree in Economics from O.P. Jindal Global University. During her undergraduate years, she grew a keen interest in public policy and governance. During her master’s, she worked as a parliamentary research intern at the Legislative Assembly at Parliament of New South Wales, Australia and then at the Office of an Hon’ble MP in the Lok Sabha to understand the functioning of legislative institutions and the policy research that supports them. She worked with the government institutions to identify and research various policy issues, draft public hearing materials, reports, and parliamentary questions for hearings and sessions.
