The Centre for Social and Economic Progress hosted Geetanjali Kirloskar, Chairperson and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Board Member, CSEP for the first episode of Industry Leaders Speak on February 19, 2024. The objective of this series is to glean insights from pioneers in the Indian Industry and understand the journey that led to the establishment of successful companies.

Geetanjali Kirloskar is the Chairperson and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Pvt. Ltd. She also holds the position of Chairperson at Toyota Tsusho Insurance Brokers India Pvt Ltd and serves as a Director at Kirloskar Proprietary Limited.

She has served as the Honorary Consul of Finland in Bangalore since 2008. She was conferred the Knight First Class of the Order of the Lion of Finland in December 2022 by the President of the Republic of Finland. She also serves on the Board of Trustees at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in the USA. Additionally, she is an Advisor to Swadhar, an NGO in Pune, where she works towards reinstating children of sex workers into mainstream society. 

In 2012, she set up Sakra World Hospital in Bangalore, a 300-bed multi-speciality tertiary care facility. The hospital is a joint venture with SECOM Japan and Toyota Tsusho Corporation Japan. She is also an accomplished multifaceted personality across various domains. She has acted in two notable films “Chelvi” by Girish Karnad and “Samay”. She hosted a popular TV show “Life’s Like That” on Times Now in 2010.
